Today was insane, and I LOVED it. My family and I headed off to Robinsons Manila to support my cousin, Chai, while she danced with her f(x) dance cover group during the K-pop festival. She had a total of two performances--one at 12:30 pm, and the other at 7 pm. We had to stay in the mall for the whole day and thus had loads of time to kill.
When I got there, I was expecting shitloads of K-pop booths and whatnot, just like the convention I attended last November. Sadly, there was only one booth which sold CD's and not merch. :( Le sigh. Ah well.
But then anyway, I arranged to meet up with my Tumblr friends--Gabbi and Claire. Gabbi bailed on the last minute, but I still got to meet Claire. Awkward silences at the beginning, though we warmed up to each other pretty quickly for a first meeting! We had lunch at a Japanese restaurant wherein we spazzed our butts away. Haha. Good times, good times. :) I even got to meet another Tumblr friend, Lae, which was an unexpected, lovely surprise. She was very hyper and it was funny. ^_^ Then I had to leave them to get back to my family, huhu. I was able to take a picture with Claire before I left, but it's in her camera so I won't get to post it here. Even for a few hours, spending time with her was crazy fun. She's planning to transfer to AdMU for her second year and I am nothing but stoked to soon have her as a schoolmate.
I tried getting Meg to come but she had a ballet recital today. :c WHICH I AM 100% SURE THAT SHE NAILED. That girl is a Black Swan.
Back to the K-pop summer fest, Stephan told me that he'd be dropping by the mall to give me my birthday present. After having some coffee with my relatives, I went to meet him. We hung out for about a couple hours or so and had our usual geeky conversations. OH OH and I recently found out that he has abs after I randomly rubbed his tummy. Boy has been keeping them secret for so long, lol.
I introduced ST to the family as well. It was weird. But hilarious. Harhar.
After he left, all we did was wait for Chai's next performance. Had no choice but to watch the other cover groups. I particularly disliked this MBLAQ cover group. No wait, I HATED them. Ugh, I swear they were so cocky and stuck up and they weren't even cute (and they totally think that they're hot wtf wtf wtf). Bleh. Such feelers. They were rude too. I wanted to punch each of their faces. I love MBLAQ and these posers are giving them a bad name. :| But that was the only crappy part of the day, hihi.
FINALLY IT WAS CHAI'S TURN TO DANCE. AFTER 54305843950843953 YEARS. Her group was great! In sync and everything. My cousins and I were screaming our asses off. People were looking but we didn't give two shits about it. Chai deserved our deafening screams, okay. She was just awesome. Her boy gave her much support as well. He stayed with her the whole day, how sweet is that, haha~
We left maybe an hour after Chai danced, then flailed about the whole day in the car. God. I love my friends. I love my family. This day was amazing. FUCK THIS RAPTURE BULLSHIT.
Hee. And now, some pictures. ^^
Meia, me, Chai, and her boylet~
Paparazzi photo of Stephan and I. :))
WITH TEH STAR OF THE NIGHT. ^^
Mark made her that banner. Ain't that adorable.
f(x)ation about to dance!
I've been having such amazing days lately. Even yesterday was lovely! I got to bond with my 4D and 4B friends during Louise's despedida. I owe that night a post as well; prolly when Nichie uploads her photos. Made me realize how much I frigging miss my class so much. 4B better have a reunion, and fast!
Summer 2011 has been wonderful so far. I'm hoping it'll end with a blast. :]
Nyahahaha. Just a recap of the past few weeks. May has been very eventful so far.
May 6.My family and I went to Eastwood for our usual Starbucks night, wherein we met my cousin's boy. Lols. It was weird. But it's nice to see Chai so very happy with this guy.
May 7. I went out on a date. :| loljk. Kevin and I were supposed to be with our other friends, but they all bailed on us and so we were alone. He dragged me to watch Fast Five with him (because I wanted to watch Thor so badly -_-), and I loved it, unexpectedly. We got to bond more over coffee before he brought me home. It was fun anyway and we got to catch up and see each other before he left for his fucking Europe cruise. Rich bitch, lol. I didn't get to see Miggy though. :(
While I was out with Kevin, I also managed to buy my mama a mothers' day present! I got her this perfume called 'Joy of Pink' from Lacoste. It cost almost all my money, but I'm glad I got to buy it for her. She loved it very much and it's always nice to see her happy. My mom spent so much for me while we were in the States and so it was time to give back. :]
May 8. Bea Villoria's debut. She was so cute, really! She was in this Taylor Swift get-up and she performed You Belong With Me and Love Story! Hehehe.
May 9. I slept over at Jebbie's after Bea's debut and we went to Rockwell the very next day with Joshua. We had girly talk in Starbucks; mostly about random stuff and college. Jebbie was playing with her SLR and took many pictures of me, which she managed to make into a gif. *_*
May 12. My mom gave me my birthday money, and access to my savings. Holy guacamole was all I could say.
May 13. The day of my eighteenth birthday. I didn't do much through the day; basically just stayed online. It was very sweet that the people of Tumblr had their own little surprises for me. Their birthday messages and letters were so touching. My Tumblr friends are awesome, period.
The night of my birthday was weird. Went out with the Starbucks gang to Eastwood and had dinner. The servers sang to me and all dslfkdlsfjkdjk it was awkward okay. But it was fun with my family there, I guess. :)
May 14. Mom arranged a birthday lunch at home. After, my cousins and I went to The Spa to get a massage; then we went off to Park Jun's Beauty Lab (good lord that place is insanely Korean I swear it was like a fucken haven) for a cut. I chopped all my hair off. It's so much easier to manage now, thank goodness. Very convenient for college!
May 15. My boyfriend's 21st birthday. Seriously. :| loljk it was Jonghyun's birthday. One of my Tumblr friends (MEG, AHEM AHEM) found it interesting to give me my present on that day.
Also got to meet up with my relatives from the States. Then get more presents. dskldlksjfksdjfks. Not that I'm complaining and all. Teehee.
That's it for now. I'm so happy that I have a lot of plans for the summer. Very very very eventful indeed. I'll be seeing more people this weekend as well! Yay. :) Anywho, here are some pictures~
Chai, Juammi, and me.
Bea's debut!
Gif of myself that Jebbie made. Lolwat.
Birthday dinner at Johnny Rockets!
Meg's gift for me. It's a list of all her OTPs. :| :))))
It'll be the first time I'll travel to the States in a long time. Good lord, I've missed that place. Done packing all my things already--I've got my trusty Panasonic headphones and a good book to keep me company throughout the long flight. I had my awesome indie travel mixes fixed by Ate Zet. And of course, like the loyal fangirl that I am, I'm making my own K-pop playlist as well. Hoho.
We'll be stopping over at Japan and Detroit before finally landing in Florida.
But despite all the flight stress, I'm psyched.
Stuff in my suitcase. My mom lent me a pink one ftw.
Our first stop is Florida and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! It's basically why we wanted to go to the States in the first place. Hurray for geekiness.
New York is our second stop. We're watching the Phantom of the Opera on broadway. I'm also stoked to see how beautiful this city is. All the lights and skylines I've seen in movies are absolutely gorgeous! I shall also get to see Dani, whom I haven't seen since last February. She'll be studying and working there starting this month.
Los Angeles is our last stop so we could visit my dad's relatives. Though, if my grandma decides to, we may head out to Vegas. ^^
Ah, this'll be so fun. I'm looking forward to the ultimate summer experience with my family.
I wish Papa were still here with us to experience it. :)
Yesterday, I completed the course of my high school life and graduated from the hellhole that is called CSA. Obviously, the only thing I'll be missing about it is the lovely, supportive, amazing friends that I've made in there. Other than that, good riddance, high school, and your shitty administration.
Graduation was pretty lulz. I basically just talked to Nichie and texted a bunch of random people, like Ian and my mom. Haha. Andy's little sister, Roxy, was rather entertaining herself. She was seated near us and she kept shouting Andy's name in the middle of the program. Heh. My cousin also failed at taking pictures of the ceremony. They were all so frustrated at our horrible camera that they weren't able to even see me go up the stage. Tsk, oh my strange family~
After the whole ceremony, I took a bunch of pictures with my friends and gave Ian a ginormous glomp because I missed that boy very much. :]
I met up with my family and we headed out to Chocolate Fire for dinner. Yumyumyum. Here are a bunch of pictures that were taken:
Did nothing today except play Persona 3 on my brother's PSP. It's quite addictive, really. I'm glad I have something to distract me. I've been playing it since a day ago and I'm already hooked. Ffffuuu.
Sadly, I had to leave the game and have myself fixed at the spa, for tomorrow's graduation ball. Eyebrow and upper lip threading hurt like a fucking bitch. :/
For the seniors' grad ball, I am excited, but totally not ready. I've no idea what shoes and what accessories to wear with my dress, plus my appointment is at 3 PM (which is kind of bad because I have to be at Shangri-La Makati by 5. Eh. Whatever will be will be.
I hope something amazing will happen tomorrow night though. :D
This blog post shall be narrated in the form of random bullets, because I am incoherent today.
It was my third friendship anniversary yesterday [March 19, 2011] with the best guy friend any girl could ever have--Miggy! It was definitely a rocky, but mega fun friendship starting from day 1. We disagree on almost everything and we fight a lot too (though arguing with him can get pretty fun!), but everything always goes right in the end. He'd usually know what to say to me to cheer me up and make me laugh, and we'd talk about countless things. Also, despite having different tastes in certain things like music, we get along like two peas in a pod. I'm proud to say that we remain really, really close even though we go to different schools. This boy is someone I could trust with pretty much everything, stories, secrets, even my very own life. I wouldn't know how my teenage years would turn out without him in it. :) I loves you, Miggeh! Here's to more friendship anniversaries to come! ^^
I've been fascinated with this girl's chola parodies on the Internet. They've been making me laugh since last week. You guys oughta check her out; she's hilarious. I shall attempt doing this chola accent in school tomorrow for the lulz.
I feel bad for my brother. His pox is waaaaaay worse than mine and it's just sad looking at him. I do hope he heals quickly. I miss hugging my baby brother.
Bought my first box of BB Cream today from The Face Shop. I could only hope that it works well on my face. So far, putting it on works wonders. ^^
Many years ago, it has been said that gods have roamed the earth in disguise and become one with chosen mortals. Demi-gods, heroes, and great leaders have sprouted from these unions, bestowing their countries with peace and prosperity. Legend has it that the unique descendants of such divine encounters between humans and immortals still walk amongst the modern society today. Some are gifted with beauty, others, wisdom, but the most gifted of them all are the valiant and vigorous children of the sun—the children of Apollo.
Born into this present generation were a fated num
ber of the sun children. Little did these chosen ones know that Apollo had a special plan in mind—they were all destined to cross each other’s paths and form a heavily-bonded, special family. This family gathered under one school, one batch, one room, and collectively, they were known as the spirited class of 4B.
It is undeniable that 4B houses the best talents that the senior batch has. Not only are they blessed with sheer intelligence, but abilities in every known area as well, similar to how Apollo rules as a god of many things. There are those who excel in music, handling vocals and guitars with nothing but pure, potent skill. Some possess endowm
ent in theatre, poetry, and writing. And then of course, being the visual arts class, each and every one of the 4B students never fail to bring color and vibrancy into their high school community.
But the most important value that father Apollo had instilled in his children is the warmth of the sun that shines on their smiling faces, and radiates from their tender hearts. The joy, passion, and love they share burns with such intensity that, despite them finally parting ways, they will always remain together in both mind and spirit. 4B, with its members destined for greatness, will forever be remembered as the bright and fiery class whose light shone amidst the darknes
s, the talented class whose bond will never be broken.
Presenting the class of 4B--the children of Apollo, the children of the sun.

Classmates, what do you think of my write-up for us? :)
My mom's back from her weekend outing today! I've really missed her.
We had dinner together and she told us an interesting story about my dad and my brother. It's pretty touching and a bit heartbreaking as well, so I thought of sharing it over here. It's a more personal version of what I posted on Tumblr.
My dad was an immigration officer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport--meaning going to work late in the afternoon, and arriving home early in the morning. He often worked graveyard shifts and came back at around 12 or 2 AM. But he wouldn't go to sleep immediately. He'd stay up in my room, use our old desktop, and play his computer games.
My brother would often get up at this hour and see that my dad wasn't beside him. He'd then head over to the room where he was in and catch him on the computer. My dad would put my brother on his lap and play the game with him. This went on for most late nights...until my father passed away. My brother was four years old.
Weeks after my dad died, my mom would wake up in the middle of the night and find that my brother wasn't sleeping in his usual place. She'd go out of her bedroom to look for him, only to see that he was at the desktop computer, staring at the empty chair that my dad would usually sit on. He doesn't say anything. He doesn't cry. All he does is stare. And then my mom, constantly fighting back her tears, would lead him back to the bedroom and tell him to get some sleep. He would, eventually.
But the incident continued for months. My brother would get up in the middle of the night, looking for my father, hoping for another game with him, only to be greeted by the same empty chair, and the dead, blank screen of the computer. My mom would urge him back into bed, and the cycle would happen again on the succeeding nights.
